Westchester Knicks

The Iona College Mass Communication Department will send students to cover the Westchester Knicks game. During this time we usually do a pre-game prep on what might happen in the game, to recording the game and taking notes to be able to ask question during the post game. During post game, sometimes coach will answer questions, also if a player stuck out during the game he will come to post game and answer questions as well.

During this time, it gives us students a chance to work in a game work style, with getting press passes and having to conduct interviews and recording like you might do at a major sporting event. Below are some videos that I took part in editing and recording for two games that I took place. These events were covered by one graduate student in the Iona College Sports and Communication Program covering the event for her class and the other student was a senior at Iona College covering the event to get experience in reporting.

Iona College Senior Robert Bowe reported on the Knicks 10th win on the season beating the Texas Legends in a comeback win of 116 - 112. Coach talked about the play of Trey Burke and how he's so hard to cover and the importance of his play.
Coming from the County Center in White Plains, Mary Omatiga covered the Westchester Knicks beating the Greensboro Swarm 95-86. Which ended their 3 game losing streak. Coach and Trey Burke had a few words about how the team played.
